About Zygmunt Kleszczyński Trail

Yellow PTTK hiking trail, 12 km long, from Bytom to Zabrze via Miechowice, the Three Ponds Valley and Rokitnica.

The Zygmunt Kleszczyński Trail is a yellow hiking trail 12 km long, leading from Bytom to Zabrze through green areas on the northern edge of the conurbation. It was named by the board of the Bytom branch of PTTK (Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society) in memory of one of the co-founders of that branch.

Route

The route starts at Bytom Północny station, on Dąbrowa Miejska Street, and ends in the Grzybowice district of Zabrze. On the way it leads through Edmund Osmańczyk Park in Miechowice, the Miechowice Forest Refuge and the Three Ponds Valley (Dolina Trzech Stawów), and then through the Rokitnica district of Zabrze. The trail has a single stage, with no clear division into sections.

Near the start it crosses the Millennium Trail, and at the end it joins the Polish Hussars Trail, so it can be woven into a longer walk. In the Miechowice area stands the Tiele-Winckler Palace in Miechowice, and a little further north lies the Segiet nature reserve.
