Modest timber hut on the Gibasy pass in the Little Beskids, heated by stoves, with well water and an outdoor toilet, neighbour of the Lutecja cottage.
Gibasówka Hut (u Stacha) is a modest timber hut on the Gibasy pass in the Little Beskids, intended for people looking for an overnight stay in simple mountain conditions.
According to the hut's website it is a farm-and-residential building. The farm part holds a woodshed and a small store, and the unused attic can be used for sleeping on a mat in the spring and summer season.
Inside there is a kitchen with a stove on which you can cook for yourself and dry clothes. One room is heated by the kitchen stove, the other by a fireplace stove. The hosts describe the conditions as those that prevailed over the last century in the hamlets of the Beskids: water is carried from a well, washing is done in a basin, and the toilet is outside. Animals must be left at home.
Only 100 metres away stands the other cottage on this pass, Gibasówka Cottage (Lutecja), run separately and offering a different standard.
From the pass you can set off onto the trails of the Little Beskids, among others towards Chatka pod Potrójną, about 2 km from the hut in a straight line.
