A themed amusement park in Ogrodzieniec with a park railway, a tunnel, a viaduct and several amusement rides.
The Railway Park in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland (Park Kolejowy na Jurze Krakowsko-Częstochowskiej) is a themed amusement park with a park railway, founded in 2011 in Ogrodzieniec on Kościuszki street. The main attraction is the miniature trains, but the grounds also hold several amusement rides unrelated to railways.
The park consists of two loop routes joined by a connecting track, on which a tunnel, a viaduct and a bridge have been built. The track is laid with rails cast in Switzerland. The longer route is 450 metres long, the shorter one 180 metres.
Passenger trains run along the routes, pulled by locomotives brought from the United States and New Zealand. The rolling stock includes a GP-40 diesel locomotive, which pulls two cars seating 14 people in total, an electric model of a British shunting locomotive from the 1950s, an articulated 2-6-6-2T steam locomotive built on the pattern of a Uintah Railway engine, and an electric train modelled on a military train. All the steam and other locomotives have a gauge of 184 mm.
Besides the railway, the park has a roller coaster, bungee trampoline, a spherical cinema, go-karts, a large pool with boats, a playground, a platform carousel and bouncy castles. If that is not enough for a whole day, the area also has the Miniature Park in Ogrodzieniec and the ruins of Ogrodzieniec Castle, and the Trail of the Eagles' Nests runs through Ogrodzieniec.
