An educational farm at an agritourism farm in Wisła, with workshops on life in a Beskid village and animals to feed.
The "U Źródeł" educational farm in Wisła operates at the U Gazdy agritourism farm, about two kilometres from the town centre. It shows children life in a Beskid village and runs workshops for them.
The hosts offer several topics. "Our farming" (Nasze gazdowanie) shows a day on the farm and traditional tools, "The secret of a drop of water" deals with where water comes from and how it was used in the past, and "Eco healthy - colourful" covers the processing of fruit and vegetables and setting up herb gardens.
The farm is home to rabbits, ponies, sheep, geese, ducks, cats, cows, hens, pheasants and budgerigars. Children can feed the animals and look at them up close.
Workshops are organised for groups: school classes, preschoolers, holiday camps and trips. The sessions are adapted to the group, and the farm is available both with and without accommodation. A date must be agreed by telephone or via the website ugazdy.wisla.pl.
