Events in Zabrze: concerts at the Dom Muzyki i Tańca and CK Wiatrak, cabaret shows and screenings at Kino Roma. Check the venue and pick a day.
Zabrze appears in the calendar with a few dozen events and a clear lead for music. Beyond it there are cabaret shows, film screenings and several plays. It makes sense to start with the venue and to decide between a huge concert hall, a club and a cinema. The halls differ in size and character, and the calendar lets you compare them.
Three places lead the calendar: the Dom Muzyki i Tańca, Kino Roma and CK Wiatrak. A few entries belong to the Miejski Ośrodek Kultury (the municipal cultural centre) and to Oficyna, while single ones go to Scena Cocktail Bar, Restauracja Kameralna and Klub Muzyczny CK Wiatrak.
The Dom Muzyki i Tańca (House of Music and Dance) is a modernist building at ulica de Gaulle’a 17, opened at the end of the 1950s. It was designed by Zygmunt Majerski and Julian Duchowicz. The main hall seats nearly two thousand people and is valued for its acoustics, which makes it a natural address for big concerts.
CK Wiatrak appears twice in the calendar, as a cultural centre and as a music club. Both entries refer to the same place. Kino Roma handles the screenings, while about the Miejski Ośrodek Kultury, Oficyna and the restaurants the calendar says little, so read the listing itself before you decide.
Concerts prevail, with over thirty entries under concerts in Zabrze. They are followed by cabaret, ten dates at the cinema and a few theatre performances. You can see everything on the page of events in Zabrze.
The town has dozens of places, described under the sights of Zabrze. You can go underground thanks to the story of the underground routes of Guido and Królowa Luiza, and the text Mines in new roles tells how former collieries found other uses. Football fans will find the history of the club in the article on Górnik Zabrze.
The largest hall is the Dom Muzyki i Tańca, while smaller shows go to CK Wiatrak. You can always check the exact stage on the listing.
Yes, over a dozen entries. After choosing the cabaret category you will see all dates in the town.
The calendar links screenings with Kino Roma. In the cinema category pick a day to see the times given by the organiser.
Tickets are sold by the organisers’ own box offices. A listing’s “Kup bilet” button forwards you to the one handling that date.
