Architecture in Kończyce Wielkie: a Baroque palace, a late 18th-century timber church and a brick chapel of 1776.
Kończyce Wielkie lie in Cieszyn Silesia, in the Hażlach commune. The palace, chapel and church show three different materials and styles, with short distances between them.
The palace at Zamkowa 20 is described by the monument register as Baroque, from the 18th century. In the 19th century it was rebuilt in the spirit of French Baroque with elements of classicism. A landscaped park with an artificial pond surrounds it.
Next door, at Zamkowa 18, stands the Chapel of Divine Providence, a Baroque brick building of 1776, raised on the site of a 17th-century wooden chapel. It was modernised in 1893, and the Harasowski family of Harasów paid for the building.
St Michael the Archangel's Church at Kościelna 16 is wooden and dates from the end of the 18th century. It is one of the largest timber churches in Cieszyn Silesia and lies on the Wooden Architecture Trail. A Rococo font from 1737 decorates the interior.
Comparable monuments elsewhere in the region appear under architecture in Silesia; the village's own overview is things to do in Kończyce Wielkie.
