Things to do in Kozy: the classicist Czecz Palace with its park, a disused sandstone quarry and Wilczy Staw at the foot of the Little Beskids.
Kozy lies at the foot of the Little Beskids. Its three places suit a short outing: one is a cultural centre in a palace, the other two a walk through forest and a former quarry.
The Czecz Palace at Krakowska 5 is a classicist residence in the centre of the village. After renovation in 2011-2014 it houses a library, a local history room and a concert hall, and the landscape park around it is open to all. A gentry manor probably stood here as early as the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries.
The quarry on the slope of Chrobacza Łąka operated from 1910 and produced sandstone. Today it is disused and serves for recreation, and the rocks are listed as a geosite. From the large car park below the quarry a wide forest road leads to Wilczy Staw, a small pond in the forest under Chrobacza Łąka. It is probably artificial, a former manorial trout farm, and a second retention pond lies beside it.
Yes, the park is open to all.
