What to see in Dzięgielów on one walk
The castle at Zamkowa 38 is a Renaissance fortified manor with Gothic parts. The original four-sided building with a tower was raised in the late 15th century by Jan Czelo of Czechowice, a courtier of the Duke of Cieszyn. Its history has included a brewery, foresters' flats and a village community hall, and today it is a hotel, so the castle is viewed from the outside.
The “Eben-Ezer” Church is a Lutheran church, a former chapel of the deaconess sisters, consecrated on 3 July 1960. Since 1 September 2005 it has been a parish church. Nearby, on Cieszyńska street, lies the municipal cemetery founded in 1925 as a Protestant one. An avenue divides it into a Protestant and a Catholic part, and in a separate plot rest deaconesses of the Eben-Ezer Deaconry.
