Things to do in Mstów on the Warta: the Psi Nos reserve in the Eagles' Nests Landscape Park, the market square with a Mickiewicz monument and a Jewish cemetery.
Mstów lies in the Częstochowa county, on the Warta. Its three places show different sides of the town: forest nature, the town centre and the memory of former residents.
The Market Square, also called Adam Mickiewicz Square, is the centre of the town. It is roughly trapezoidal, with a monument to Mickiewicz and tenement houses from the late 19th century around it. The street layout is irregular, because the Warta curves around the town from the north and west and there is only one crossing. The loss of town rights in 1870 is covered in the article Pilica, Mstów, Kłobuck: miasta, którym w 1870 roku odebrano prawa miejskie (in Polish).
The Psi Nos Nature Reserve covers 93.07 hectares in the Eagles' Nests Landscape Park, in the Olsztyn and Mstów municipalities. It protects a multi-species forest with oak-hornbeam, beech and oak habitats.
The Jewish cemetery on Kilińskiego street dates from the 19th century. During the Second World War it was devastated by the Germans, and only individual gravestones and fragments survived. It is a disused burial ground that deserves respect.
It covers 93.07 hectares, and its buffer zone is 185.80 hectares.
