Things to do in Koszarawa: Hala Janoszkowa with views of Babia Góra and Pilsko, and two churches, one classicist and one Franciscan.
Koszarawa lies in the Żywiec county, in the Żywiec-Orawa Beskids. Its three places combine a mountain walk with buildings more than a century and a half apart in age.
Hala Janoszkowa is a clearing on top of Lachów Groń (1,045 m), a former pastoral meadow. To the south-east you see the Babia Góra massif with Mała Babia Góra and the Polica range, where Okrąglica is easy to spot by its relay mast. The walk is free and follows a trail.
The Church of St Charles Borromeo at Koszarawa 100 was built in 1839-1843. It is a three-aisled, late classicist building with four wooden altars from the time of construction, listed as a monument; the polychromes date from 1954.
The Church of the Stigmata of St Francis of Assisi in Koszarawa Bystra is modern, built in 1993-2005 as part of a Franciscan monastery. The Franciscans founded their station here in 1985.
