Things to do in Ogrodzieniec: the Eagles' Nests Trail on foot and by bike, a railway theme park with miniature trains and an 18th-century baroque church.

Ogrodzieniec lies in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland and is best known for its castle ruins. Besides them the town offers trails, a family theme park and a historic church, enough for a longer stay.

How to explore Ogrodzieniec on foot and by bike

Two red trails pass through the area and link the Jura castles: the walking Trail of the Eagles' Nests is 163.9 km long and leads through the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland all the way to Częstochowa, while the cycling trail runs about 189 km. Cyclists pass Strażnica Ryczów, the ruins of Ogrodzieniec castle, the Podlesice Rocks and Zborów Hill.

The Railway Park on Kościuszki street has run since 2011. Its two linked loops, a longer one of 450 m and a shorter one of 180 m, include a tunnel, a viaduct and a bridge, and besides the railway there are a few fairground rides.

In the centre, also on Kościuszki street, stands the Church of the Transfiguration, late baroque with classicist features, built in 1783-1787 and listed as a monument since 1967.
