What to do alone in Tworków? Explore the ruins of a Renaissance palace and two Baroque churches, all easy to see at your own pace.

Tworków is a village in the Krzyżanowice municipality, so the choice is small but well matched: architectural monuments where you do not need to book or wait for a group.

Where should you go alone in Tworków?

The palace in Tworków, on Parkowa street, is today a permanent ruin of a 16th-century Renaissance palace built on the site of a Gothic stronghold. The tower and parts of the wings are best preserved, and the former park lies next to it. Since 2004 it has belonged to the Krzyżanowice municipality. It is a place to look at from outside, not to tour inside.

The Church of Saints Peter and Paul, built in 1691-1694, stands on a rise in the village centre and has a crypt of the Reisswitz family with 17th-century sarcophagi. St Urban's Church, from 1779, lies on the edge of the village, by the forest and close to the Czech border, about two kilometres from the built-up area.
