Visiting Babice alone can mean the ruined Cistercian manor in Łężczok, a wooden platform above a pond and the church of St Anne.
It is meant for those who like silence, birds and unhurried sightseeing without company. The three places differ: a ruin, a lookout and a village church.
Give half the day to the Łężczok reserve. The hunting manor lies in the south of the reserve, between two ponds, Grabowiec and Brzeziniak, almost on the Racibórz border. Cistercians raised it in 1783; only a ruin remains.
Not far from the manor is the viewing platform on Salm Duży, a wooden tower of 2017 over a pond near Nędza. From up there it is easy to watch the birds.
The Church of St Anne of 1937-1939 rises in the village on the rim of the Rybnik Plateau, in the Racibórz land. Its distinction is the mosaic of the patron saint in the chancel, prepared in Munich at the end of 1939 and the start of 1940.
It is a ruin, so view it from outside and do not count on interiors.
More is gathered under Solo, and the village itself is described at Babice.
