Architecture in Łaziska Górne means a modernist town hall from 1927, a neo-Gothic church with a tall tower and a functionalist brick church.
Łaziska Górne has historic buildings from three different periods, from the end of the 19th century to the 1930s and 1940s. All three can be seen in one afternoon, and each represents a different style.
Finished in 1927, before the settlement gained town status, the Town Hall stands at Plac Ratuszowy 1. Its modernist brick body is made of two wings arranged as an L, with a clock tower and entrance in the corner. Municipal officials still work inside.
The Church of Our Lady Queen of the Holy Rosary at Kościelna 4 is a three-aisled neo-Gothic building with neo-Romanesque elements. The tower measures 41 metres, and the story began with a modest chapel of the 1890s. The monuments register has covered it since 2005.
In the Łaziska Średnie district, at Kardynała Wyszyńskiego 12, stands the Church of the Beheading of St John the Baptist. This functionalist brick structure rose in 1937-1940 and had to be rebuilt after shelling in September 1939.
To compare them with monuments in other towns use the category architecture in Silesia, and for further spots nearby open Łaziska Górne.
