Free in Porąbka: Czaniec Lake, the Little Beskids Landscape Park and the Zasolnica reserve. Three natural places where you do not buy a ticket.
The Porąbka municipality lies in the Bielsko district, at the foot of the Little Beskids. All three places are open ground, suited to a walk or a longer trip.
What can you see in Porąbka for free?
Czaniec Lake, also called Czaniec Reservoir, is a drinking-water reservoir on the Soła river covering forty-five hectares. It appeared after the dam in Porąbka was built. Water sports and fishing are banned, so this is a place for looking rather than swimming.
Spanning 257.7 square kilometres, 165.4 of them in Silesia, the Little Beskids Landscape Park sits where the Silesian and Lesser Poland voivodeships meet. Inside are Czupel, the Łamana Skała rock and three reserves, among them Zasolnica, which since 1973 has protected Carpathian beech woods on the slopes of a 567-metre mountain. More free places across the region are collected under free attractions, and the municipality has its own page: Porąbka.
