What to do alone in Radzionków? Visit the museums at the old station and in Rojca, walk the former mine site and see a Neo-Gothic basilica.

The four places tell of industry, deportations and faith. One of them calls for reflection, because it concerns a tragedy of the region's people.

What is there to see in Radzionków on your own?

The Documentation Centre for the Deportation of Upper Silesians in the former railway station is an exhibition and archive centre devoted to the deportations of Upper Silesians to the USSR in 1945. The background is described in the article Deportacje Górnoślązaków do ZSRR w 1945 roku. The Bread Museum in the Rojca district, opened in 2000, has more than ten thousand exhibits on the history of bread and lies on the Industrial Monuments Route.

The Radzionków Coal Mine operated from the 1870s until the end of 1995; what remains are an open-air mining display of machines and wagons and St Barbara's chapel. St Adalbert's Church is a Neo-Gothic brick basilica of 1872-1875, with a tower over 61 metres tall and an organ of 60 stops.
