Silesia's mountains are best explored on long routes: the Main and Little Beskid Trails and the Greenways cycle path through Bielsko-Biała and Ustroń.

None of these has a single address, because each runs through many places. Two are hiking trails in the hills, and the third follows valleys on two wheels.

Which mountain route should you start with?

On the Main Beskid Trail the starting point is Ustroń in the Silesian Beskids. The route is about 496 kilometres long and marked in red. Kazimierz Sosnowski planned its western part from Ustroń to Krynica, and the eastern part was finished in 1935 to an idea of Mieczysław Orłowicz.

The Little Beskid Trail used to be known as the Northern Trail. From Stracona in Bielsko-Biała it goes through Chrobacza Łąka, the Porąbka dam, Kiczera, Potrójna and Łamana Skała to Leskowiec, in the Little Beskids.

How to see the region by bike?

Greenways is a route of about 780 kilometres that combines cycling, walking, water and horse-riding paths. In Silesia it visits Bielsko-Biała, Ustroń, Wisła, Skoczów and Cieszyn.
