Rycerka Górna on your own: huts at Przegibek and Wielka Racza plus a brick church from the early twentieth century. Quiet, at your own pace.

Someone walking alone will find two points of support on the trail and one monument in the valley. All that remains is to choose where to begin.

What to see in Rycerka Górna on a walk by yourself?

Beside the trails to Rycerzowa and Wielka Racza, on a pass in the Żywiec Landscape Park, stands the PTTK hut at Przegibek, at the address Rycerka Górna 401. Higher up is the PTTK hut on Wielka Racza, built in 1934 below the summit, where Polish and Slovak trails cross. Anyone starting at Przegibek and walking towards Wielka Racza therefore gets two clear stages.

At number 103 stands the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, a brick and stone building of 1908-1911 with touches of neo-Gothic. Inside are sculptures of St Anne and St Joachim from the eighteenth century, and the church joined the register of monuments in 2024. You will find further routes for people hiking alone under solo, and the village is presented on Rycerka Górna.
