Industrial heritage in Świętochłowice means a water tower of 1909, the Polska mine's shaft towers and a combat bunker from 1937 in Piaśniki.

Two of the four places concern the same site of the former Polska mine, and the others are the water tower in the centre and the bunker in a park.

What industrial heritage can you see in Świętochłowice?

The Water Tower in Świętochłowice stands on Katowicka Street; this Neo-Baroque structure of 1909 is 40 metres tall and carries a unique steel tank of the Klönne system at the top. The Former Polska Mine Complex preserves what is left of a mine that Guido Henckel von Donnersmarck founded in 1873: the historic towers of shafts I and II, both listed as monuments.

The Winding Tower of Shaft I of the Polska Mine on Wojska Polskiego Street is a metal structure of 1908, listed in 2004. Combat Bunker No. 39 in Heiloo Residents Park is a Polish heavy bunker built in 1937 as part of the Silesian Fortified Area's second line of defence; it has a museum room.
