3 attractions

Painting in Tychy means mainly the Obok Gallery with temporary exhibitions, plus two small museums that cover other fields.

Only one of the three places is an art gallery. The other two are a miniature museum and a sports exhibition, so do not expect paintings there. All three suit a rainy day.

Where can you see painting and art in Tychy?

The Obok Gallery is a municipal art gallery on the first floor of the Andromeda Culture Arcade, next to the Small Theatre. It has no permanent display, only temporary exhibitions of painting, sculpture, graphics and photography, so what you see depends on the gallery's current programme.

The Henryk Jan Dominiak Museum of Professional Miniature Art occupies the ground floor of a tower block at Żwakowska 8, in about 21.9 sq m. It shows miniatures, sculpture, edged weapons and phaleristics. The Tychy Sports Gallery on the second floor of the Municipal Stadium is a permanent exhibition about Tychy athletes, with a multimedia comic about football.
