Where to spend a day outdoors in Dąbrowa Górnicza?

The largest is Zielona Park in the Korzeniec district, which covers 67 hectares on the site of an old oak forest and belongs to the city. A road to Łagisza built in 1932 gave it its start. In the 1960s a small municipal zoo operated in the park, and in 2018 the park was renewed. The quieter eastern part is taken by Uroczysko Zielona, an ecological site of 17.5 ha established in 2008.

What can you learn on the educational trail and in Haller Park?

The trail through the Uroczysko has five stops and runs from the forest to a pond. Boards describe successive habitats, for instance fresh hornbeam woodland with hornbeam, small-leaved lime and pedunculate oak. Haller Park grew where the Reden mine was filled in. Today it has the Centrum events and sports hall from 2004 and the Nemo Water Park from 2005. The town's past is explained in an article on the road to town rights. Further places are listed in things to do in Dąbrowa Górnicza and in the category parks and nature in Silesia.
