Architecture in Koszęcin: the palace home to the Śląsk ensemble, a neo-Gothic brick church and a timber church of 1724.

Koszęcin offers three distinct styles. The palace goes back to the early 17th century, the timber pilgrimage church is a century younger, and the neo-Gothic brick church dates from the early 20th century.

Which architectural monuments are there in Koszęcin?

The palace at Zamkowa 3 was rebuilt in 1828-1830 in a neoclassical spirit. A wooden castle first stood here and burned down in 1603; Andrzej Kochcicki completed a masonry one in 1605. Since 1953 the palace has housed the Śląsk ensemble of song and dance, whose patron is Stanisław Hadyna.

The Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus went up in 1907-1908 in brick, to a design by Ludwig Schneider. The neo-Gothic body has a single tower and stands beside a presbytery of 1899. Prince Hohenlohe was the main donor, and the monument register has protected the group since 1998.

The Church of the Holy Trinity of 1724 is wooden and forms part of the Wooden Architecture Trail. It replaced an older church of the 16th century. A legend about an apparition at an oak tree is attached to it.
