Skalica is a disused Godula sandstone quarry between the Vistula and Skalica street. Forest is taking over the excavation, and the rock faces are used by climbers. The town of Ustroń lies at the mouth of the Vistula valley, at about 360 m above sea level, with Równica (884 m) and Czantoria Wielka (995 m) rising above it and cable cars running up Czantoria.
