Parks and nature in Częstochowa include greenery by Jasna Góra, the city's Lisiniec park with three lakes and the small neighbourhood Parkitka park.
All three parks are municipal, and none needs a ticket. They differ in scale: from over forty hectares by the water, through a historic ensemble beside the monastery, to under two hectares on a housing estate.
Best known are the Jasna Góra Parks: Staszic Park and 3 Maja Park, which wrap around the monastery from the east. Together with Sienkiewicz Avenue they cover 11.8 ha, and from 16 September 1994 the monastery and the parks together count as a Monument of History. Visitors will find pavilions left from the 1909 exhibition and an underground mining museum. For the city beyond the pilgrimage read the text on museums and parks around Jasna Góra.
Lisiniec Park in the Lisiniec district covers 41.23 ha and has three reservoirs of 11 ha in total, nicknamed the Adriatic, the Baltic and the Pacific. It has a beach, a rental point for water equipment and a rope park. For the residents of a housing estate the Parkitka Park was created in 2002 on 1.8 ha, with 117 trees and more than seven thousand shrubs. Other addresses of the city are gathered under things to do in Częstochowa, and a regional comparison in green places across Silesia.
