Mountains in Ślemień: three simple huts in the Little Beskids, two cottages on the Gibasy pass and the Chatka pod Potrójną in the Łękawica commune.

All three are wooden huts in the Little Beskids, and two of them used to be student huts. Today they take overnight guests. The standard is basic, so be ready for mountain conditions.

Where to stay on the Gibasy pass?

Chata Gibasówka, also called Lutecja, stands at Osiedle Groń 3 at about 800 metres above sea level. The cottage was built in 1925, a year after a fire destroyed every house on the pass. It served as a student hut until 2001, and its roof collapsed in 2019, after which it was renovated.

Next to it is Chatka Gibasówka u Stacha, at Osiedle Groń 1. The kitchen has a stove for cooking and drying clothes, water comes from a well and the toilet is outdoors.

What about Chatka pod Potrójną?

Chatka pod Potrójną lies in Kocierz Rychwałdzki, in the Łękawica commune, in a highlander cottage from 1911. It is open all year, and a shared kitchen operates on the ground floor.
