What to do in Rybnik when it rains? The Rybnik Land Theatre, two museums, the Dżungla play centre and the SOWA science centre: five indoor places in one city.
The choice suits families with children as well as people who prefer calm sightseeing in the rain. Two places are for children, two are museums and one is a theatre.
The best options are Dżungla and the SOWA science centre. The first is a play centre, the second a place for hands-on experiments. A long day can include both, since one is for physical play and the other for experiments.
Dżungla is at Bolesława Chrobrego 6, in the city centre. Children get slides, an obstacle course, trampolines and inflatable structures, and the youngest have a separate zone. Parents wait in the café. Socks are required at the entrance, and the centre also organises birthday parties.

The Museum in Rybnik works in what was once the town hall, in the middle of town, and shows the city's history, the crafts of Upper Silesia and coal mining. Its patron today is Fr Emil Drobny, who in 1922 showed the people of Rybnik the first museum pieces. The building from 1958-1964 has a hall for 650 seats, a chamber hall and the “Oblicza” gallery, and received monument status in 2023.
